I first met Stix when he organised a personal tour for my son and myself of Thorp Arch when I sponsored, a then unknown 16 year old, Aaron Lennon. He couldnt do enough for us, introducing us to players, backroom staff and the manager, puntuated with humourous anecedotes. For an 11 year old child this was extraordinary, and although he is now 30, and an academic, he still recounts the story of that day and has been a season ticket holder every since. I sure many other long term supporters have been fashioned by Stix and his affable personality.

These were dark days in Leeds United history and every pound was desperately needed, and every season on Players sponsorship day, Stix went above and beyond to make us feel valued by the Club and undoubtably contributed to keeping the club financially afloat.

Stix made everybody feel that were as much a part of the Club as the players, manangement, and the directors.

As Stix transcended so many changes in regime he became the epitome of the soul of Leeds United.

For many of us Stix does not appear in front of the camera, but behind it. This is from 2004.

Being a Leeds United supporter since the age of 6 ( yep over 50years) I have seen Leeds legends a plenty at Elland Road. Among that elite group I regard PeterLockwood to be high up on that list!

At the age of 50 I had a tour of Elland Road for my birthday treat and met Stix for the first time, his stories and sense of humour automatically made him my hero his knowledge and expertise where simply second to none, he had me hooked after receiving a phone call from Stuart Dallas during the tour and hearing him telling him off for leaving it late to get his family tickets was a moment I will never forget & By some twist of fate (another story) I became friends with Stix and his fabulous family through his daughter Shauna who spotted a post I had put on social media for help for myself and my wife who had booked train hotel for our anniversary and couldn"t get tickets, well to say Shauna and Stix came to the rescue not only did we get to see the game but we got to meet Leeds players past and present and experience something I could only have dreamed of as a child. To say Stix Lockwood is a great man is an understatement he is a legend and dream maker and is the heart and sole of Leeds United FC and deserves all the accolades and praise he gets he"s one of a kind and a personthat can not be replaced at Elland Road or Thorpe Arch .... I"m proud to say he"s my hero and friend he has done so much for so many fans and charities over the years Elland Road without Stix Lockwood isnt Elland Road he has made dreams come true for so many over many many of them years and deserves the highest praise and some proper recognition from everyone at Elland Road.

Best wishes Stix

One of the nicest and selfless human beings I"ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. In 2013 my Dad was in hospital with what turned out to be terminal leukaemia. He was due to attend a game with me but couldn"t due to being in hospital. I contacted the club and asked if it would be possible to have something signed for him in lieu of being at the game. Having been told nothing could be done I was put in contact with Stix. He told my brother and I to meet him before the game. We handed him a shirt and within ten minutes he returned with a fully signed shirt by the entire side. We all had tears in our eyes on presenting it to Dad. I contacted Stix later in the year when Dad had unfortunately passed to thank him and let him know how much it meant to us as a family and that my Dad has passed away. On the same day I got a completely unexpected reply from Stix passing on his condolences. Such a small gesture and part of his day but something that meant so much and has always stayed with me and I think has made be a better man that Stix took time from his day to message a stranger and offer a few words of comfort. Thank you Stix

Just wanted to pass on to Stix my enormous thanks for taking my son (and myself) on a guided tour of the Thorpe Arch training facility some years back.

My son had been in St James Hospital recovering from a kidney transplant. I had written to the club, hoping for a signed greetings card, but they weren"t yet updated or ready for print. Stix took it upon himself to organise a full day at Thorpe Park, tour of facilities, watching training, meet & greet with all the players, and lunch. My sons highlight was sitting at a table with his hero Gary Kelly.

Stix was an utmost gentleman and no doubt helped my sons recovery. Big respect to him from me.

Later that same day we bumped into him during the Leeds v Gillingham match (in League One) and he invited us to meet him after the match. Little did we know what awaited us ! He led us into the players" dressing room after the match where we got to meet all the players and he even arranged for us to meet then manager Simon Grayson.  It was and still is the most unforgettable moment we have experienced all these years (decades for me) supporting Leeds United. Our relationship with Stix has since developed into a genuine friendship and we have nothing but respect for the man and his wonderful family. Stix was, is and will always be 100% Leeds United. Hi.

What a great way to show our appreciation for a Leeds legend.

Here"s a short story of my experience with Stix Lockwood.

After completing the John O"groats to Lands End cycling trip back in 2017 (mainly wearing my Leeds shirt or Leeds United cycling top), a Leeds fan on Facebook mentioned that it"s the sort of thing that should go in the match day program. Next, someone mentioned speaking to Stix.

After reaching out, he not only sorted a caption in the program but invited me to Elland Road in the hope of getting the cycling jersey signed. Prior to kicking off at home to Ipswich on Saturday 23rd, 2017, he warmly welcomed me and took me up to meet the players. Dallas, Phillips, Alioski, Pablo, and "the beast of Leeds," Berardi! Battling to keep my excitement at bay, I held it together, tried to act cool, and got autographs and some great photos. That jersey is now framed and takes pride of place on my wall.

To top it off, Leeds won 3-2 in a thriller. What a day!

This is just my story of Stix representing the fans and going that extra mile. Thanks for playing your part in a perfect end to that trip with a really special souvenir. You made my day!

All the best,

Elliot Fowler

Stix was influential in getting a signed shirt by all the players for a very good friend of mine who is suffering with MND. I first met Stix summer pre season of our 1997/98 season. George Graham was boss back then & i was a new trainee coach, learning the ropes to hopefully earn my badges at our Football In The Community Office under his friend & my mentor. Ces Podd introduced us & we hit it off from that day on. He was kind enough to teach me how to take proper Stadium Tours & in quick time trusted in me enough to take much larger group tours on my own, which really boosted my confidence. I will never forget his genuine passion, enthusiasm & knowledge. Listening to him talk really opened my eyes as to how club & staff operate on a daily basis too. It was my perfect football education in his company, at my hometown & life long supported club! There was always a welcoming smile too. No heirs & graces, just a down to earth, professional, wanting to help & support me at the most important early stages of my coaching career.

Thanks so much Mr Leeds! I will forever be grateful.

Stix, wow what a wonderful man. I"ve been supporting Leeds United all my life my first game in 1988, I had heard of a man called stix but my first real interaction with him was in 2010, the year I was getting married and contacted him about getting a card signed. He couldn"t do enough for me, I donated money to one of the many charities he has done so much for , and got my card. I couldn"t thank him enough. Over the years since he became more and more of a legend to us supporters. And you could clearly see what he meant to the team and Marcelo in particular.

Stix always had time for everyone, I support a visually impaired supporter called John that travels from Blackpool. One particular match which was one for the remembrance Day , Stix had seen us and although as busy as he was he came over to us shook John"s hand had a little chat and gave John a beautiful pin badge. That really made John"s day.

Another particular time, I was shopping in my local supermarket and I spotted Stix, and I was like star struck , I made my way to the fridges, thinking shall I say hello, then all of a sudden my phone rang to the tune of marching on together he turned round and we just laughed at each other. There would be times in our local pub and I would see him after games and always had time for a chat even after some bad defeats and in the days coming up to Marcelo being sacked. You could see how much the club meant to him. Then by chance again in our local supermarket we was walking out at the same time and I asked him how he was, we had a long in depth chat and since that day we have been in regular touch.

Stix is such a wonderful man, that cares so much about everyone , but the passion he has for Leeds United a club that he worked so hard for and dedicated his life to can never be taken away. When I hear the words Leeds United I think of Stix, and when I hear the word Stix I think of Leeds United, the two just go hand in hand. Thank you for everything you have done for the club and all the supporters and charities that you have helped. Xx

Almost 6 years ago, Stix made a dream come true for my friend who was soon to die from pancreatic cancer.  Not only did he arrange for my friend to meet his boyhood idol, Eddie Gray, he also arranged a meeting and photo with the then manager Gary Monk.  He also personally met my friend and took him into the tunnel and dugout areas, even though it was a match day.  No words can express what this act of kindness meant to my friend.  Thank you Stix.

Country United States City Davenport

I honestly could write so much more than I have here when it comes to Stix Lockwood and the immense kindness that he showed me during my visit to Elland Road in January 2020. I had left the UK in 2004 to emigrate to the USA and this visit was my first to a game at Leeds since that time when I had season tickets. It was a special trip as I took in the Millwall game at home and that day I had booked a stadium tour in which I was first introduced to Stix. He made the experience more so special in that his stories and takes were unique and even in the freezing cold outside, he held the attention of everybody. His demeanor and positive attitude were testament to he as a person and I even observed he gave his tickets to a mother and her child that day which totally sent them over the moon.

As I wrote an email at dinner (when I was enjoying a hospitality meal in the East Stand), I thanked him for his time and made a joke about meeting Marcelo Bielsa. He wrote me back a couple of moments and asked me to come to the West Stand. After I watched the squad enter the building he invited me in and only went and introduced me to the great man himself. I was absolutely shocked and the 14 year old kid inside of me was beside myself as after many visits to Elland Road in my lifetime, I had never gotten this close to anybody at the club. Stix, for no reason other than to just be kind made it happen and he even allowed me pitchside access before the game and I got to meet a few of the players.

Being on the Elland Road turf, under the lights and in a place where I feel totally at peace, was amazing. I felt so lucky and it vindicated the expense and travel time of the trip even more. The point is, none of this would have been possible without the kindness and unconditional care for his common man that Stix Lockwood had shown towards myself and as I have learned, many many others. I was once told that if many people think someone of you then it may be true and I know that Stix has made a mark on many lives, all of whom I am sure will be eternally grateful.

I know Stix because he"s helped me on so many occasions in the past. I don"t expect Stix to know me because he helps so many people, so often.

He"s a guy who can always be relied on and for me he"s often been my route into the club when I"ve needed one. Too many examples to list here but the most recent was when LUSC Valencia voted Raphinha as it"s Player of the Season. I left a few things at the club for Rapha, not knowing if they"d ever reach him. A few weeks later, and back in Spain, I received a signed photo of Rafa accepting our award, all organised, without request, by Stix.

Going the extra mile is what I came to expect from him over they years. Thanks for everything mate. Enjoy your retirement when it eventually comes. There"s always a welcome for you in Valencia

Since I started following Leeds , Stix has always been there.

He"s a big part of the club and it"s very strange since he was made to leave. I personally don"t know the ins and outs but what I do know is that the club isn"t the same without him.

It"s also well known that Stix himself misses his role within the Leeds family.

I hope the club will show it"s true colours and make sure Stix will be back soon.

This club, our club, our life is Leeds United, from Leeds, Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

We need real people like Stix and a good few others in the club, people that are through and through Leeds and understand what it means to represent Leeds United.  Marching on together, We all love Leeds.

Get Stix back where he belongs and let"s keep our club ours always and forever, on and on

G"day Stix!

My family are Leeds through and through - the whole family born in and around the city. My dad lived in housing near Elland Road. I however was born in Australia and hadn"t been able to get over to Leeds until I was 26.

I went to Leeds for my first tour and game over the New Year period during the 2016/17 season. During the tour in the day, after telling you where I had come from, you pulled me aside and upgraded my ticket for the game that night as well as asked me to meet you at the players entrance before kick off. When I met you at the game, you brought me in and led me to the players/family lounge where you personally introduced me to Wood, Roofe, Dallas and other players. You made me feel at home and like family. It was so special and I hold those memories so dear.

I hope to bring my own son to Leeds in a couple of years (he is only two) and when I do I hope to reconnect and introduce him to you and of course catch our first game together at Elland Road.

All the best Stix!

A TRUE LUFC LEGEND

Words cannot describe enough what STIX brings to our club.

There is so much history that runs true his vains.
He lives and breathes for our club.
Stix is the glue between our club towards fans, charity and so on.
What some say Mr.Fix It, i would say MR. STIX IT

Our first meeting and handshake was when we were down at League One. Attended a stadium tour, when you had to step in as a guide for a sick John McClelland.
Since then i am extremely honour to say that i have become a personal friend of yours over the years.

You belong in our club, at Elland Road, at Thorp Arch, in our clours,
representing our club and so on.

You belong to Leeds United, and Leeds United belongs to you.

Stay strong and healthy my friend.

Much love

I came across Stix many times as fan during the Simon Grayson era. Regularly visiting the players lounge he welcomed us as he would a player, a staff member, or a celebrity..... everyone was greeted with the same passion and enthusiasm.

My fondest memory was that of my daughters 18th birthday. I emailed him on the off chance he"d remember my name from visiting 10 years prior. He welcomed me and my daughter into the player"s lounge, and even came looking for us post match to see if we wanted to meet the players and give her a signed ball.

He asked is if we"d like a picture down the tunnel to the pitch and he lead us there. It"s here he said the words in the quiet tunnel of Elland road stadium "I love this place". Them words will stay with me forever.

Forever grateful and thank you for the experiences. You truly are THE legend of the club.

Back in October 2018, you arranged for my son Jack to meet his hero, Pablo Hernandez, before the home match vs Nottingham Forest. You brought us into the area outside the manager’s office just by the player’s tunnel and as you went to get Pablo, Marcelo Bielsa appeared out of nowhere and kindly gave some of his time for some photos with Jack, myself, and my wife Jennifer. What a gift to the club that man was! You then arrived along with Pablo who was also like yourself a gentleman where he signed a poster, and we have some great photographs to remember the occasion.

I was also on two of your stadium tours which I absolutely loved and treasure to this day.

In a football world which is now so commercialised and becoming more detached from ordinary life, you were a fantastic connection between the fans and the club we all love.

That is invaluable.

Hope we meet again at Elland Road sometime in the future and best of luck with your website where I would be delighted to add some photos!

Best wishes from Ireland

In 2019, we travelled from Argentina to Leeds with two friends, with one main objective: watching a match from Leeds United and meeting Marcelo Bielsa.

We got in touch with Stix a couple of months before (thanks to Sam Isles, a huge Leeds fan) and he told us that he might get us a couple of tickets for the match against Wednesday.

The day came, and we were not able to get any tickets yet. Stix told us a couple of days before that we would have to wait until the last minute. But that previous night, we received an e-mail from him, telling us he could get us three tickets to watch the match! Happiness wouldn"t fit our bodies. So the next morning we travelled to Sheffield by bus, we met Stix and we gave him an Argentinian wine as a present.

The match was a little boring (0-0) but after the match, we waited outside of the locker rooms for Marcelo. Stix told us he was going to stop by and say hi. Fifteen minutes later, Bielsa came out of the locker rooms, and we finally got what we travelled so many kilometers for: a picture with him and a little chat, all thanks to Stix!

It was one of the greatest days of our lives, and until today, we watch every Leeds match from Argentina.

Nicolas.

Hi Peter (Styx), it looks like our lives and love for Leeds United have followed similar paths.

I remember our time at Manston C of E School in East Leeds, were our love for sport was firmly established.

My grandfather took me to Elland Road for the first time in 1960 and I was hooked.

I remember speaking to you when you were doing the stadium tour with John McClelland and then when I moved to the Isle of Man, you were quick to organise a visit to our "Leeds United Pub" on the island.

When I returned to the UK in 2018, I chatted to you outside the West Stand before the home game and we were never short of memories and stories.

I looked for you before the Wolves game at the start of the season and wasn"t aware that your position had not been renewed and only today found out from **** at the stadium, that **** was involved in this decision, which was at best Short Sighted and at worst Shabby.

Needless to say mate you have my respect for the many years of friendship, along with the many hundreds of fans that you"ve helped during your working life at Elland Road.

Hope to see you again, take care mate and hope to see you soon at ER.

Best wishes, Paul.

I was heading to see my son in Calgary at short notice for Christmas and I got in touch with Stix through his daughter Shauna, and next thing I’m meeting him before the Brentford match. It was the first time I had met him in person and what a humble and lovely bloke. In less than three days he got Marcelo to sign a print and get it to me in the post. My son was over the moon, even though he doesn’t look it in the photo ha ha, and I can’t thank Stix enough. In my opinion the club lost two great people this year and Leeds United Football Club was better with both of them part of it. Marcelo understood what it is to be Leeds, and Peter "Stix" epitomises that, and hopefully he is soon back where he belongs.

I have been a Leeds fan since I was 4 back in 1973, been up and down with them. Being Irish my affinity with them was purely by chance but I never wavered, once a white always a white. This was taken to a whole other level when I was bringing my 2 boys over for their first Leeds game 7 years ago. Ryan Air being a bunch of xxxxx wouldn’t let my youngest travel as they ask for passports, so I had to leave him behind. It was Easter weekend and we lost due to a stupid sending off. On the Sunday we were hanging around in the city centre with everything closed wasting time before flying home all dressed up in Leeds gear. A gentleman and his Mrs walked up to us and started talking about the game and was very interested in why we were hanging around. Turned out it was Stix and he said he would send my son at home a signed pic of the squad which he did. Brought my Son to the next home game and Stix took care of us. We met the players, their families and also the manager.

Fantastic Man, he is Leeds to me.

I first met Peter "Stix" Lockwood while I was a serving member of HMS Ceres when we were invited to attend games at Elland Road during the remembrance period.  Afterwards, in the Players" Lounge, you could tell by his reception from both players and invited guests that Stix is a highly respected member of the Leeds United Community, along with the City of Leeds as an entirety.  His smile and can-do-attitude have been instrumental in achieving his status as a club legend and is deservedly so when you look at his achievements for charities, as well as civic pride.  His community spirit and willingness to help people has been reiterated by Jermaine Beckford recently on television when commending Stix personally for his attitude in helping young players at Elland Road - not many backroom staff are complemented on national TV by modern players and Jermaine"s gratitude was heart felt and genuine.  In 2016 I suffered a life changing injury which has left me permanently disabled.  During my early recovery phase I literally "bumped" into Stix at Starbucks, and he remembered me from attending games at Elland Road as part of HMS Ceres ship company.  We had a chat, and he was concerned about the nature of my injuries and showed kindness in helping me out with my wheelchair manoevures, as well as helping my wife with coffees etc.  He was his ever-positive self and several weeks later I was surprised to receive an invitation from Leeds United to attend a game in one of the boxes.  Stix was able to arrange a box for myself and a seriously ill Warrant Officer who was also in a wheelchair.  I can wholeheartedly say that we both had a tremendous day and even witnessed a Leeds United victory.  I know that the both of us will always be indebted to Stix for his caring and community spirit for achieving this not too small concession for two injured servicemen.  I would like to thank Stix for his hard work and dedication to Leeds United, as well as the City of Leeds, and wish him well in his future endeavours.

We had a lovely surprise from LUFC back in 2021 courtesy of Stix.
I own, what is now an official overseas supporters bar in Duquesa, costa del sol, Spain, 30 minutes from Gibraltar.
I first went to Elland Road 43 years ago and I"ve been a life long fan.

I was contacted by Stix daughter on FB as Stix had been trying to get in touch with us as he"d seen us on a, let"s say infamous UK TV program, and he had showed the program to the great Marcelo Bielsa himself one day. MB asked Stix to maybe send us something for our support over here.
When Stix eventually managed to get hold of me, it turns out he"d send us a gift but had obviously been lost in the post. When he found that out he took the time and effort to resend us something again.
What a surprise when we opened the package and found a signed card from the team, a signed letter from God himself and the flag. We were absolutely blown away with this.
this takes pride of place in the pub.
We never asked for anything, it was a fantastic gesture from the club and especially Stix himself for pushing it and making it happen.
Stix has been a legend at LUFC since I was a young lad, can cut that man in half and he"ll bleed yellow, white and blue.

I"ve known Stix for more years than I can remember. What I can remember is what a kind, courteous and accommodating man he always was and of course Leeds United through and through. I can fill pages recounting the many times he was so helpful to myself and fellow Leeds United supporters from Dublin. From the Stadium Tours back in the day, "Leeds on the Road", Lorimer"s Bar, etc. Stix has been one of the few constants at LUFC over the last 50 plus years. Add an invitation to the player"s lounge, sorting out many requests for fellow Leeds fans from Dublin and a special cherished memory is when I was invited to see Stix in his local club performing on stage playing his drum kit.

The first time I properly spoke with Stix was over a pint before attending the memorial service for Bobby Collins at Leeds Parish Church. Stix knew my dad through working at Elland Road for years. My dad had died just a few months before and Stix hadn"t known. We had a very nice chat and I appreciated his condolences, especially at a time when the club didn"t seem to be particularly caring in those days. I wish you all the best, Stix, and hope there is some positive LU light in store for you.

The main memories I want to share about Stix's work with the supporters is that he always had time to speak to people like myself and didn’t look down at us. It always fascinated me and made it a good shift when he spoke to me about the Leeds lads so casually on first name basis.

I can’t forget the fact that he also got me and my friends a signed letter from Bielsa himself just for being ‘good supporters’.

I know there’ll be lots more kind words from a lot of people to go on the website - he deserves it.

 All the best,

Where do I start, Stix literally made my dreams come true.  On December 15th 2009, we were staying at Martin House for some respite with my poorly son Ben. It had always been my dream to take my son to a game at Elland Road but from 10 months old, Ben was diagnosed with a brain tumour, so he was never well enough to go and sit in the stands. On this particular evening, I was just starting to get ready to set off and my wife said I needed to get Ben ready.  At first, I thought she meant for bed but then I was told that Martin House had organised our own box for the game with Stix.

The evening was fantastic. Stix couldn't have done any more for us. We went pitch side pre-match and in the box for the match. It was a cold night v Accrington Stanley but towards the end of the match I even managed to get Ben in the seats so he could sample 'Marching on Together' sung from The Kop.

This meant so much to me and I could not thank him enough.

 Thank you, Stix.

Stix arranged a signed Bielsa certificate for Lew's 21st last year and today we had the great pleasure of meeting Stix.

Thank you so much for taking time out to come and meet Lew at home.....it made his day!!

It is heart warming to meet somebody so committted to bringing pleasure to others through a mutual love of LUFC. There are too few people left that want to bring smiles and expect nothing in return, thank you Stix

Well, what can I say about Stix or where do I even start. What this bloke did for me when I lost my best mate to cancer was amazing and he did loads more for my charity football team called The Kews Burrow Charity FC from Wakefield. Whenever I needed anything from the club, Stix was there to get it for us no matter what !!!

He’s a legend and a massive part of my heart and a big icon at Elland Road, he always will be.

He will do anything at the drop of a hat.

If anyone ever asked me who was the man to contact at Elland Road, it was Stix straight away.

Us fans and players love the lad and from the bottom of my heart Stix, I can’t thank you enough for what you have done for Leeds United and me and the rest of the fans, you’re a true legend.

Take a bow fella.

I want to add my few words having read the wonderful testimonies about Stix. We met a few years ago on a stadium tour – since then Peter has been a contact for me and has made my little special grandson the happiest boy around. He has had signed birthday cards -certificates - personal photographs of his favourite players and much much more.

Peter has been our contact as I stated -never was anything too much trouble for him and I even sent hm a video of my grandson opening one of the cards as the photo shows...

He has been such an asset to Leeds all these years – the players and the fans – in fact he is called “Mr Leeds” by a lot of people.

I saw the  video when he won the Bobby Collins award around 4 year ago The players all spoke so highly of him – it was great to see him get the appreciation then  after all the years at Leeds.

When someone like Peter takes  a personal interest in helping the fans -who are in my mind what makes Leeds United a great team – in the charity work- signing shirts for great causes etc -  and who is a bridge  between the players the club and the fans – it means so much.

Can’t thank him enough.

A true gentleman and friend.

Country Australia. City Melbourne, Victoria,

I came over to Leeds from Australia in April 2016 to watch a live Leeds United match. Originally, I wrote to Peter Lorimer regarding attending a game with a friend, next thing I know Stix Lockwood has e-mailed me asking if I need tickets and advising of car parking arrangements.

Then he said meet me at the entrance and I'll take you through the players area etc and get photos with any of the players if you like before the game.

His motto was fans come 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

We had the best time, front row seats, and Leeds beat Reading 2-1.

I can’t wait to come back and see a Premier League match.

Every successful club needs a Stix Lockwood, the heart and soul of the club, there through thick and thin.

Thanks Stix.

I first had the pleasure of meeting Stix for the first time almost 20 years ago now. He's the father of one of my oldest and closest friends. I've always had the upmost respect for his love and commitment given to both his career and his family. As a military wife and daughter, its always a great feeling to see gratitude shown to our serving men and women, Stix has shown his in abundance over the years. I'm proud to know him and hope he is proud of his achievements. He's made a lot of people very happy.

Firstly, what this man has done for our club for so many years is unbelievable and genuinely done with love and care for Leeds United and everyone involved in the club from staff players fans etc. I first got to know Stix through his daughter Shauna that came across me on Facebook when I was live streaming singing raising money for the NHS through lockdown which the final total was £16,245 in the end an amazing achievement by me and everyone involved and we became friends and her daughter Quinn became my biggest fan (I love her) so we got chatting and she knew how big of a fan of Leeds United I am and told me her dad was the LEGEND STIX I was blown away not only by her having a legend of our club as her father but for his kind words passed on through her for what I was doing for NHS through what was a really difficult time for everyone and also his contribution into getting signed merchandise for people.

I was doing tributes for example young lad called Kaden who was going through leukemia at the time, now all clear thank god, Stix made that lad very happy and that's what Stix is all about always doing great things for people without hesitation.

I was so excited to be told from Shauna he wanted to come on my live one night and have a chat about Leeds United and about what he does for the club on a day-to-day basis, and it was a great interview/ chat that I will never forget and is still on my YouTube channel if anyone wants to have a watch RJCMUSIC.

He even came to support me, at my 100 years celebration of Leeds United at The Irish Centre in Leeds and I gave a little speech in recognition of him, on stage which I felt he deserved.

I remember one day at ER Leeds vs Leicester NOV 7th 2021 was our turn to do our bit in remembrance for the fallen soldiers and Stix was at the front of me dressed smart as always doing what he truly loves next to a soldier getting ready for the minute silence before that started I wanted to say hello so walked down stairs and tapped him on shoulder and he turned round massive smile and massive hug and even though he was there to do his job still had time to say hi when I turned round and walked back upstairs I saw everyone looking at me and one man asked me do you know Stix I said yes "he's a legend isn't he" and he said "certainly is he's a great bloke massive heart" and that just sums Stix up for me

all the best for the future Stix

Leeds United are missing a legend and a true gent I want to say on behalf of every Leeds fan thank you for everything you've done for our club

Keep smiling

I first met Stix in 2013. At that time, I was fundraising for The Royal Engineers Association, Bomb Disposal.

As a veteran of afore mentioned group/Corps this is something that was/is very close to my heart (and something that still is to this day).

A chance encounter, resulted in myself and Stix coming together and having the opportunity to highlight the work we were doing though the Leeds Utd community, stadium, and supporters. Over the years this resulted in me, raising over £100,000, with Leeds Utd and Stix support.

As time went on, I shifted focus to starting my own charity.

A charity born out of tragedy. A fellow veteran took his own life after suffering from PTSD in 2014. I wrongly assumed that there would be a 24:7 PTSD crisis support line out there that would give support to struggling veterans. Specially a support line staffed by veterans. But there wasn’t. so, I started one.

Sapper Support was (and still is) the UK’s only 24:7 PTSD crisis helpline staffed solely by veterans and 999 personnel. We aim to give around the clock support to veterans and emergency services who are suffering from various mental health issues.

With experienced veterans staffing the phones, we are able to empathise with our callers, fully understanding what they have been through, as we have been there too. As most of our veterans migrated to the ‘blue light’ services, we are also able to give advice/support on what it is like to experience the trauma associated with working in this field too.

Not only are we a 24:7 listening service, but we are also able to fund private assessments to determine a diagnosis, and ultimately speed access to treatment. With no means testing or volumes of red tape, we quickly and efficiently move forward giving full support until the assessment has been carried out…. then we pick up the tab.

Not content with paying for the assessment, we can also (where appropriate) then pay for the next phase.

The treatment.

Sapper Support is a fully inclusive support helpline and gives aid to anyone who is currently serving, a veteran or 999 employees.

Below are the contact details for anyone who may be struggling today.

I first had the pleasure of meeting Stix back in the early 90’s whilst doing some graphic design work at Elland Road. From day one, he was always so welcoming and his love for the club was clear to see. I remember making a comment to him and Keith Hanvey about the Internationals Board they had back then. As a lifelong Leeds fan, myself, I didn’t think it’s standard was befitting for the greatest club in the world. Stix being Stix agreed with me, so took my proposal for a new one to the board where it was accepted. Our upgrade still sits proudly in reception to this day. This was an incredibly proud moment for me and just goes to show the type of man Stix was and still is, someone who will always go out of his way to help fellow Leeds lovers and support anything which benefits the club he loves so much.

I’m proud to say that we have remained good friends over the years, and he’s helped me meet a number of players and managers (so quite a few managers, ha!) when carrying out other work for the club. But more than that, I have seen countless examples of his kindness and dedication to both the club and the fans whether it be by securing charity prizes or fundraising for deserving causes, there are too many examples to mention from over the decades. But one good deed I must mention is something that happened recently. When Covid was at its peak a good friend of mine, a true Leeds fan who was as fit as a fiddle beforehand, unexpectedly died from the virus. I contacted Stix to let him know and he organised a thoughtful tribute from Marcelo and the players. This was sent to the family and took pride of place at his funeral; something which I know meant a great deal to his family at a time when there were such strict restrictions on funerals. I know this was just one of the thousands of caring and selfless acts carried out by Stix over the years.

I am extremely honoured to call Stix my friend. He is a true Leeds legend who is part of the fabric of our great club – as much, in my opinion, as any of the true greats that have graced the pitch. A true gent and unsung hero.

Thank you, Stix.

Stix was one of those guys who used to turn up everywhere with Leeds United – from Thorp Arch to Elland Road and countless away grounds all overthe UK and in Europe, always looking dapper in his blazer and with a twinkle in his eye. His love of the club was matched only by his compassion for fans who were poorly and needed a boost by meeting their heroes. All the players loved him and would much rather talk to him than me... but I forgave Stix that! A couple of years back I took a mate up and Stix said: “When you get to the ground, give me a call!” Terry and I arrived late and Stix was busy, but he still came out to greet us then took us on a whistle-stop tour of the West Stand – taking us to places which Terry had never seen. Finally, Stix led us down some stairs and into the players tunnel – I’ll never forget the smile on Terry’s face when he finally realised where we were going. Stix made another friend that day! – Neil Jeffries, ex-Leeds Leeds editor.

I lost my best mate, a massive lifelong Leeds fan in tragic circumstances. I wanted to give the family a lift so contacted LUFC to see if they may be able to send a letter of condolence to the  family. I was getting nowhere until I received a text from Stix asking me to phone him on his private number. I phoned him and talked him through my mates story and about the years we had spent following our great club together. He was genuinely concerned and interested in what I had to say. It was like talking to a mate that I had known for years. He said to let him have my mates families address in Australia and he would talk to Marcelo and the lads. A week later the family received a letter of condolence from the club with a personal message from Marcelo and was hand signed by all the first team squad. This gave the family and myself a big lift at what was an awful time. I will never forget our conversation Stix and your genuine concern. I hope you are well whatever you are doing and hope to see you back at Elland Rd, where you belong as soon as possible. Absolute legend.

My first encounter with Stix was in 1995 when he contacted my parents after i broke my arm on a Leeds United summer camp, he sent us two tickets for the Leeds Liverpool game settled by the infamous Yeboah goal. Fast forward 25 years and he unexpectedly arranged for Marcelo Bielsa to personally write to me following the birth of my son. Two moments we will always cherish. The club has seen many changes in that time period, many ups and unfortunately many downs. Thankfully Stix has been a consistent feature providing support and putting a smile on so many faces for all these years.

I will always remember the day I first met Stix. My husband has been a Leeds supporter for over 50 years so for his birthday I booked a weekend away to Leeds. I booked a meal in the Norman Hunter suite an unlimited spend up in the Leeds shop and a stadium tour. It was that tour that we met Stix for the first time but he made us feel like we had known him for years. The tour was amazing and his knowledge was outstanding. Stix was the heart of Leeds F.C. Managers and players have come and gone but Stix was part of the fixture and fittings. He went above and beyond to make people's dreams come true and he is one of the most loveliest people I have ever met. Back in 2008, our daughter, Eleanor, was being treated in the oncology department of Leeds General Infirmary. Being a nosey so and so, she asked the lady on reception where she got her LUFC lanyard. My husband works there, said Mrs Lockwood. Conversations followed and I sent an email to Stix saying thanks for sending her a lanyard, which she wore with pride. Stix rang me up about a week later, asking how Eleanor was and invited us down to watch us beat QPR 2-0. We had our photo taken outside the dressing room with Luciano Becchio, her favourite player. We also got to meet Johnny Giles, one of my heroes. Fortunately, Eleanor is fully recovered now and her spell in hospital inspired her to become a children's nurse and now lives in Melbourne, Australia.

Stix didn't have to make that call, but he did.

What a friend Leeds supporters all over the world have in Peter "Stix" Lockwood. In bad times and in good times, far down the league system or at the top, he has always been there for us. Year after year.

Being a Leeds fan - og a Supporter branch - outside England is a demanding task. The distance to Leeds and not least the complecated contact with the club makes it very difficult. Then it has been important to have a man like "Stix" to ask for help, assistance or information. Always cheerful, accommodating and solution-oriented. For us at Leeds United Supporters Club of Scandinavia (LUSCOS) the contact with "Stix" has been very important. There have been not a few times he selflessly and steadfastly has been there for us.

We are happy that we still have good contact and can call "Stix" our very good friend. Over the years he have been one of the most important persons in Leeds for us.

I have been a Leeds United supporter for over 50 years and am a season ticket holder. As a lifelong supporter I have always valued ALL the people who make the Club tick and create a family atmosphere. Stix has been at the centre of that approach for many years. He and his wife Anne are valued  personal friends and I know how hard he has worked to put Leeds United at the centre of the City and local communities. Someone once said "not all club heroes wear the shirt". This descibes Stix perfectly.  He is a Leeds United legend and club hero who we need to see back as a visible presence at the Club as soon as possible. It is not just the work he has done to maintain the Club's role in the community, it is also about the Club maintaining valued traditions, linking our past with the present and future, plus the intangible roles Stix has performed on behalf of all of us who love the Club, regularly going above and beyond his official duties.

We need you back at Elland Road Stix, it is definitely not the same without you. It lacks the warmth and personality you give it. Let's get back to it being a special place.

Guanhuai

Country China City Hefei

My name is Zhou Guanhuai and I am from Hefei, Anhui, China. I am a long-time follower of Premier League and a supporter of Leeds United. My initial memory of this historical football team of course can date back to the 2000-01 season, in which the team has reached the semi-final of UEFA Champions League. I was only nine-year-old at that time. However, most of my memories with this legendary football club were far away from the top-level of English football league, until the year 2020, when we were back to the Premier League after a 16-year absence.

I had the honor to know Stix from several email correspondences early this year, from which I think I got a little closer to this wonderful football club. I am living in China now and I have never been to England, but I simply want to let you know that, there are also hundreds of thousands of fans of Leeds United here, who are cheering and supporting you from the other end of this planet. Hope you can feel the strength and support from your Chinese fans. I do hope that one day I would have the chance to watch one of your matches at Elland Road with all the local fans, that would be an unforgettable memory for me.

Country Uk City Warminster

For as long as I can recall Stix has been part of the furniture at LUFC, as a young lad I have fond memories of listening on the radio to Adam Pope narrating the games and Stix always got a mention.

It wasn't until early 2012 I actually got to meet him in person, as a serving soldier in the Yorkshire Regiment i was tasked with reaching out to local clubs to drum up support for the County Regiment, most Yorkshire clubs were very receptive  but the attention that we got from Stix in his capacity as community engagement lead was second to non, Remembrance parades on the pitch, poppy sales outside the ground,  recruiting advertisements in the match day program, invites to end of season parties, match day tickets, the list goes on.

The most memorable tale for me was receiving a call on my phone in Warminster from Stix asking if I could send a van & a couple of lads to the training ground in Wetherby the following day. All was arranged and the lads duly made the 600 mile round trip in one day, made to feel welcome by the staff at TA they then returned to Warminster with the entire first team training kit from the previous season, this was given straight to our Battallion Football squad who were more than impressed and by for the best kitted out bunch at that time....though not all Leeds supporters they certainly looked the part.

This unassuming man is something special, balancing his life as a family man and the loyalty and devotion he showed to our great club should never be forgotten.

His work in the community that has given the people of Leeds an insight of what goes on inside the club, hospital & school visits, reach out programmes, Stix has been involved in it all, every club needs a Stix, through all the chairmen, managers, players and staff he's been there literally through thick and thin, through good and bad times, he really was the golden thread that held the place together.

Could write a book on what he's done for the club & wider community over the years.

lots of great memories and I'm glad to call him a friend.

Stix. I’m not sure where to start with what you did for my family but in particularly me. I was in a bad place when unbeknown to me, my wife first made contact with you. You subsequently invited us, but more importantly my children, who I had been unintentionally ignoring recently, to a Leeds home game. The day started with your friendly greeting and fantastic stadium tour full of stories from the past and present. Two hours of humour and history. Although it was a very large group of people, you didn’t rush us round at all and there was plenty of time for pictures, etc (memories). I’d been sailing along dark waters recently but as we walked out of the tunnel and into the bright sun light, I looked down at my children and wife’s, smiling faces, and things started to change in my life. The day was topped off with a great 2-0 win.

I, we as a family cannot thank you enough for bringing us all back together again.

You sir, and I mean sir, are so special.

Not only to our great football club but to the Leeds Community in general.

From that moment, the helpfulness Peter has provided to me via email has been amazing. Dad and mum have met him on a couple of occasions and have been so grateful for his help and hospitality. He made contact last year to check on mum and dad and although I’ve never met him in person, can tell what an amazingly kind and welcoming man he is.
We were concerned after recently hearing he is no longer at the club.  Dad and mum wanted to send their best wishes (as well as me) to Stix and wanted to thank him for all that he has done for us.
Wishing you all a merry Christmas and a happy new Year.

I actually grew up knowing Peter, he was a well known Character in Crossgates Leeds, he is also a keen & talented musician, he knew my parents, I used to see him match days and would just say hello, anyway, one evening match whilst in the Chamionship we got talking, I explained where I knew him from & how he knew my parents & how I used to say hello to him in passing back in the day, well, he took me & my friends to one side and told us to visit him at half time & full time, where he took us into the players lounge where we had a quick bite & drink, there was Paul Reaney (who knows my sister), Norman (Bites yer legs) and other legends, it was an amazing experience, I cannot thank or praise Peter enough, he is one of those genuine characters, a true gentleman. All the best for now Peter. Hope to see you back at the Mighty Whites, sooner rather than later.

As a lifelong Leeds United fan and someone who has been very close to the club, I want to express my deep admiration and respect for Stix.

I have heard many random stories of his kindness, helpfulness and making a profound positive difference to peoples' lives, often by going out of his way to help them.

The players naturally loved him, quite rightly so, because they see someone who they can trust, who loves the club and who will never let them or the club down.

I think Stix is unique in football. He has earned the respect of players, managers, coaches...everyone from all levels of football. As far as I am concerned, he is a diamond with so very many positive values and a tremendous work ethic.

People like Stix should be revered and celebrated by the club.

I am ashamed of Leeds United in their treatment of him. Disgraceful and disrespectful.

I wish Stix and his family only good things. Respect to man of utmost integrity.

I'll never forget seeing Stix at the Leeds United Trust Exhibition with Pablo Hernandez. I asked him if Marcelo Bielsa would like a copy of my book "Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United, Leeds United 2018-19. He said definitely, so I signed a book and gave it to him to hand to Marcelo.

The next day Stix rang me to say that Marcelo said thank you which was was lovely. The next day, I received a phone call from the great man himself to say thank you. What a wonderful moment knowing he'd taken the time to thank me personally.

Stix then arranged for me to meet up with Marcelo at Elland Road before a game where there were TV cameras filming and I got a hug from him. Great memories and all thanks to Stix for arranging this for me.

Brought my son Ben to Elland Road for his first time about 10 years ago.None of his friends in school were Leeds fan so it was difficult for him. We went on the tour and Stix was brilliant with everyone especially the kids. At the end we were last to leave and he grabbed me and said the players come in down there in about 10 minutes if the young man would like to meet them. About 20 autographs and photographs later I not only had a fully converted disciple but he started spreading the good word about Leeds to all and sundry. It was a small simple gesture that he didn't need to do but meant the world to me and Ben. we are forever grateful for it as not only gave us a brilliant memory but has given us the strongest bond of all a father and son could wish for....being Leeds fans. Thanks for everything Stix.Dave

A few years ago I was working as a football coach for a Premier League team in China. One day I came into work and my assistant coach for the day was wearing Leeds gear.

When I returned to the UK I met Stix and told him about Wei Zhang, Stix encouraged me to send Leeds gear to a fan in China so they could be a part of the club. Thankfully we were able to pull this off!

I first met Stix in 2007 when I came over from Los Angeles for Leeds United v Crystal Palace in the Championship. At the time, an American player, Eddie Lewis from California, was in the Leeds team and I had recently met his mom in Ye Olde Kings Head watching Leeds on TV. I was keen to meet Eddie when I came over and contacted Stix through the LUFC website.

On matchday, I met Stix and he took care of me beyond my expectations - matchday ticket in the west stand with all of the players' families and guests, a players' lounge pass at halftime and after the game, a tour of the dressing rooms after the game and going above and beyond after that - a lift into the city centre after all was said and done!

Over the years since then we have kept in touch and Stix has been most gracious in assisting another lifelong Leeds supporter friend of mine who has flown in for games from South Africa and the United States.

The word "legend" is thrown around the football world a lot these days, Stix is a true legend of the club, having served faithfully since the Revie days, not just the glory ones but the very early ones.

I don't hesitate to refer to him as a "Top Man" as he has been for decades at Leeds United - a one-of-a-kind gentleman! I am most fortunate to have met him and I can honestly say this man is a real credit to the City of Leeds and its magnificent Leeds United.

I just wanted to share an experience I had, thanks to Stix. As some of you will be aware, I lost my eyesight several years ago due to an inherited eye condition. I had previously been to Elland Road many times before, but it is safe to say, I was apprehensive at the thought of returning to Leeds without my eyesight. It was back in the days of the championship when I had the experience I am going to talk about. My birthday was approaching, and it had been arranged for me to have a stadium tour, before a game against Wolverhampton Wanderers. I’m not going to talk at length regarding the details because I am sure most of you know the history of the ground already. I remember we arrived slightly late and Stix took the opportunity for a bit of banter claiming I was late due to styling my hair. It was slightly embarrassing but I actually felt comfortable because I knew I could have a good laugh with the guy.

Through the entirety of the tour, Stix insured I was never too far away to hear what he was saying. It was during the visit to the Home dressing room that really blew me away. I stood in the doorway, trying to piece together the images that were being fed to me through verbal descriptions and I must admit, although I had previously seen many dressing rooms in the past, I wanted to see this one the most. It became increasingly frustrating trying to make sure I had the correct images in my mind’s eye but the disappointment was quickly dealt with when Stix, understanding the situation, approached me and said I could touch anything I wanted to. I didn’t know what to go for first if I’m completely honest. I ended up touching several shirts, as well as boots and various other things. It was a truly amazing and unforgettable experience. I did feel bad for the little kids who also wanted to share my experience but were not allowed to do so.

Why am I writing this now? I believe it is important to give credit to those who deserve it. This man didn’t have to agree to anything I needed, but when asked, he didn’t think twice. He understood my disability when so many do not. Of course, I thanked him at the end of the tour and shook his hand, but if anyone has the means to send this message onto him, please do so. He made that day a memorable one for so many reasons.

Thank you, Stix.

Football should be for the people, the fans, the working class as well as the rich. As football turns its back on this tradition, few reminders stay in place of the heart and soul of a football club.

I met Stix a few times before my musical venture and every time I did, he would be warm, welcoming and clearly proud to be part of the fabric of Leeds United.

Since my musical venture started, he has been and supported me at my gigs, passed CDs to players, got me in touch with Marcelo Bielsa and much more, he is a true football man and respectful of all things Leeds United.

I’d like to personally thank Stix for representing my club so well over the years and for being a true gentleman.

I first met Stix in 2017 when I first started working at my local pub in Whitkirk when I was 18. I used to serve him several pints of Peroni I believe, whilst chatting about our shared love for Leeds United. Sadly, I stopped working there in 2018 and never saw much of him after that. Whilst I was there, he always used to tell me the many stories he had, and also managed to get me a couple of free tickets on occasions. The last time I contacted him was in December 2021 whilst I was deployed overseas with the Royal Navy. We exchanged a few E-Mails as I was trying to source some football memorabilia from different football league teams so that we could decorate our mess on ship. Stix managed to get me a signed letter from Bielsa!

Stix should be proud of all he has achieved over his career. He has been a top asset to the club and the community around it.

He’s helped fans, players, and staff alike and has treated everyone fairly.

I hope to catch up with him one day back in the pub.

Cheers Stix!

I First met Stix in 2008. I worked as part of the Patient support services at the Royal centre for Defence Medicine. Helping to look after the welfare of wounded soldiers and their families whilst they stay in the hospital. A few of the guys was Leeds Supporters so I got in touch with Leeds and they past me on to Stix. Stix was fantastic and always stayed in touch to find out how the guys was doing and sending something signed by the players and a little note. As well as sorting a training session day for the guys to come up and just being in the presence of their team was so much above and beyond.

Stix is just an amazing Integral part of the Team.

There were not enough words to describe the Admiration I have for the Dedication and Loyalty that Stix has given to Leeds United Football Club. I doubt if there are many (if any) have given service to a Club for the past 63 years, and still have the desire in their hearts, to go the extra mile, whenever possible, to accommodate somebody, in achieving their request. I know this personally, as over the years, he has made it possible for my sons to experience some Brilliant Days, at Elland Road, in both meeting Players, to receiving gifts from Players, to which, these acts of kindness, will stay with themselves, and myself forever. It is also an Honour now to call Stix, his lovely Wife Anne, and their Family Lifelong Friends, which will be the case forevermore, and yet for all that Stix has done for Hundreds of individuals, and Charities etc, he still remains as humble as can be, as he only does it for the love of Leeds United.  He is also one of the last links to the Revie Era, and you only have to see how Former Players, Managers, and Staff keep in touch with him, to understand the Affection that is held for him. He is an Absolute Gentleman and Legend, and I love him to bits.

What can I say about Stix???

what an amazing bloke, I first met him on a stadium tour with my son and my mate, his knowledge of the club was amazing.
In more recent times he has arranged a signed Leeds shirt for me which has been auctioned and the proceeds have gone to the MND charity because my mate’s wife has been struck down by this awful disease. Thanks Stix you are credit to the Leeds Utd and a champion for local supporters who are the backbone of any club.

Leeds Utd need to acknowledge this if it weren’t for people like you and the fans they would be nowhere.

Meet Stix.

The man who met me for half a minute and told me he"d sort me out for the rest of the day. Little did he even know that I had travelled half the world to get to Leeds for my first game ever on 29th November 2014. He took me under his wing with no second thoughts and made it the most special day in my life to date (Yes, I am still single in life).
The most memorable detail of his ground tour was him spitting every time he had to mention the word "Manchester United". I was the first one at the ground on matchday and I was the last one to leave. I got weird looks from regulars there when they saw me lurking around before kick-off but all I had to tell them was - "I’m with Stix". They left me alone. Even Cellino didn’t bother messing about after that.
When I left Chennai for a long flight to Leeds, I had no idea what to expect during this trip. Just watching the match from a stand far away was a blessing. Anything more was a bonus. Stix however went over and beyond all that by recreating the most memorable experience any fan could ever have by giving me a free rein that day. I was first in and last out. I met all the players. Shook hands with legends. Hung out with Neil Redfearn. Grabbed Mirco Antonucci’s shorts after his brace vs Steve McClaren’s Derby County. I left with a heavy heart because I knew this memory can never be explained. I wanted to bottle it and share it with everyone back home because Stix"s hospitality and generosity were infectious.
From the bottom of my heart, I owe you so much for this special memory. For 10 years before 2014, I supported Leeds United through chatrooms and internet forums. The thought of watching a Leeds game live was always far fetched. Yet you made my first game feel like I have been a season ticket holder all my life. I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am for the lesson in kindness and mutual love for Leeds United.
If you need anything in India, I am that one in a billion Stix. The chosen one. Chosen by you on November 29th, 2014.

Much love.

For more than 30 years, I’ve been fortunate to travel to the sacred ground of Leeds United, and for most of these trips, I’ve had the great pleasure, of meeting Stix. I had the great honour to meet Stix during my journey across the pond in 2021, from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA to Leeds, UK. The sole purpose of my trip was to watch my beloved Leeds United play in a Premier League match at Elland Road. I travelled during a time of uncertainty due to the COVID pandemic. COVID testing regulations and parameters were changing (quite literally) hourly just before, and during, my trip. I reached out to Leeds United with a couple of questions about tickets, etc. That is when I met Stix. Stix stood out and was a true ambassador for both Leeds United and the UK. He is all class-a true gentleman. He jumped right in and became my point-of-contact. As matchday approached, and I was about to depart for my trip, tickets hadn’t been delivered to my home in the US. I reached out to my newly formed friend Stix, and he assured me not to worry. He said that he’d personally ensure the tickets were available for me at Hospitality will call. I was humbled and very appreciative and it helped to put piece of mind as so much chaos and uncertainty surrounded lock downs and COVID testing and the start to my trip. I was astonished when I got to the Hospitality Will Call and there stood Stix to greet me in-person, with my tickets. I never imagined this very busy person would have done that. Stix even checked-up on me a few times during the match to see how my experience was going. When I was traveling, I thought to Google “Peter ‘Stix’ Lockwood” and learn more about this man who was so very helpful-going WAY above and beyond anything I would have ever expected someone to do in helping a solo traveller, 1 person, like myself. I was astonished to learn about his background. I knew I was communicating with a very honourable person, but I didn’t realize I was communicating with a true legend, “A Who’s- Who”, in the world of Football! I cannot stress how impressed I am with my friend, Peter “Stix” Lockwood. He made wonderful life-long memories for this solo-traveling Leeds Fanatic. I’m sure there are endless tales from so many lives he has touched over the years.

Stix, you are an International Legend !!!!!!!

Thank you for being You !!!!!!!

Hi there, My name is Ziv, and I'm an avid Leeds supporter since 1978. I'm from a Kibbutz in the western Galilee in Israel. I'm the writer of the Hebrew version about the club on Wikipedia. back in December of 2018 I've been to the UK visiting my partner Julie who made a huge surprise for me. She has contacted the club and told them about my contribution. after few days the phone rang and it was Stix. he has invited me as a VIP to our match vs Hull City on Dec 29th 2018. I was totally stunned and so very excited by his kind gesture. I had a day at Elland Road that I will never ever forget. I came in through the players enterance, then met Stix who welcomed me with his radiating smile πŸ™‚ He handed me my 2 VIP tickets (my driver and photographer is Julie's brother in law who is a Man City fan πŸ™‚ He was stunned himself to find himself on the lawn at ER, he could not believe they did all this for me. We went down the players tunnel into the ground and met with the players. All my hereos - KP, Coops, Klich, Roofie. I got all the photos and some videos as well. then Ben Parker interviewed me for the LUTV channel. I thought I was in a dream, it was unreal. I then met with Biellsa and had a photo with him too, and to top it all up I was given a seat at the media stand and sat not far from Noel Whelan, who I believe is now a commentator. We lost that day 0-2 but who cares? πŸ™‚ It was possibly the greatest experience I have ever had in my entire life, and it's all thanks to the wonderful, kind, gentleman that is Stix. he took care of it all and made sure I was comfortable and feels at home. It was my 5th visit to ER, and most definitely the best one!! It's been a long journey for me as a 10 years old boy back in 1978 who was (and still is) the only Leeds supporter in my Kibbutz. I will never ever forget this day and Stix with his lovely smile and warm welcoming personality. this man is more than an asset to Leeds United, he is the heart of the club. I hope and pray that he will return to his life's mission asap, I feel as though he is a fish out of water at the moment. All my love to this amazing club, and especially to Stix.

I had the pleasure in meeting Stix over 10 years ago when the business was involved in supporting the club through being initially a Level 3 then onto Level 4 East Stand Executive Box holder, as well as player sponsorship.

When you meet Stix, you can instantly tell he is a great guy and has always had the players interests at heart. Even speaking to the players there is great respect for him, and how he's supported them through many life choices when playing for Leeds United.

There would be many occasions in asking the club to provide memorabilia for great causes, and Stix would always oblige and never let people down.

It is great to read all the other posts on here. Stix is certainly missed around LUFC, and I hope one day will return!

I don't know Stix too well, but I do know of his long association with Leeds United. Having been a Leeds United supporter all my life, I have come to learn that Stix is Mr. Leeds United. Well unfortunately we never had the pleasure of meeting Stix, all I know is the great lengths he went to for me... just before lockdown I was in touch with Stix as I wanted to get a card signed from Bielsa for my husband’s 40th.
But Stix being the amazing, kind and helpful man he is went one step further. I bought a shirt and sent it to him and he got it personalised "To Lee from Bielsa"

I couldn't believe it and of course Lee's face was priceless. Having never met Stix and being a complete stranger, he never forgot about my requests during lockdown and as soon as he was able free from restrictions he sorted it instantly. He still gets in touch to check on how we are!

There are few people in life that are genuinely committed to want to help you.  Stix falls into this category. Just before lockdown I was at Elland Road and took a picture of Marcelo. I sent it to Stix asking if he could get it autographed. He responded by saying that COVID regulations meant that it couldn't be done,  yet he never forgot and once we returned to normal I received it in the post.  Stix would have received hundreds of requests and all of them he delivered on. This commitment to people that he had never previously met is a wonderful quality and one that makes him stand out. I do not understand why he is no longer at Elland Road but the sooner he returns the better.

Stix has dedicated his working life, and a big part of his private life, to Leeds United and to giving the fans - whoever and wherever they may be - the very best experience of our club that they can get.  He is an icon, a legend and an amazing, selfless human.  He nurtures the Leeds United family as 'The Bridge' between the Club and the supporters, charities, groups, the Armed Forces, past/present players and anyone and everyone else connected with the Club.  He also just so happens to be my Dad.  No matter what happens next, you are and always will be, loved and respected by both your family and the people connected to the Club who matter.  As I've always said, you have no idea of the impact of what you've done for people over your many years of service (63....and counting....!!) - hopefully now these posts are starting to show you just how true that is, and how much gratitude, and more importantly respect, people have for you.  Owners/boards come/DOFs/Heads of Communications come and go, as do those who have gone missing because there is nothing in it for them....but Leeds United will always be about the fans, the real and true fans, and their connection to our Club; you should always be proud of the contribution that you have and continue to make to that. Love you loads Dad and stay strong.  MOT, always XXXX

Stix was by far one of the best blokes you could ever wish to meet at Elland Road!

I first had the pleasure of meeting him in 2001 when I was 10 years old.

At the age of 8 I was diagnosed with Leukaemia. His wife Anne was the receptionist that worked in the children’s day unit at St James hospital.

At that time Stix lead the stadium tours around Elland Road before home games. Myself and my parents were lucky enough to get tickets through Stix, Anne and the hospital for the Coventry game.

This also happened to be the same day that Lee Bowyer and Jonathan Woodgate were in court for you know what..

During the tour Stix let us have a peek inside the home changing room to see all the kits hung up ready for players arriving. As we turned back to move on guess who walked around the corner... Bowyer and Woodgate fresh from court.

After the tour we were taken to our seats and won the game 1-0.

Through Stix and the hospital we have been lucky enough to win signed shirts, memorabilia and even match tickets for the directors box.

Since then Stix had become the 1st teams Player Liaison Officer and in 2020 my mother turned the big 60.

I contacted Stix to see if he could get a signature from El Loco and as usual Stix did not fail. My mum received a letter from the man himself which obviously is now framed and hung pride of place the sitting room.

Stix has been a massive part of Leeds United for so many years and is a huge loss to the club for both players and supporters.

I wish him and his lovely wife Anne all the very best for the future and would like to thank them both for everything they did for myself and my family.

Hi Stix, I just wanted to say thank you for serving the club for so long! You’re an actual legend at the club and just as important as any of the lads who played on that pitch! Stix is an absolute legend. A genuinely lovely guy who has gone over and above to share a bit of happiness and support to my son when he was really ill.

Not only that, but he’s also followed up to ask how he was doing months later. Not many would do that.

The dedication and loyalty he has shown to his beloved Leeds United is quite remarkable and should be respected and acknowledged. He is held in such high esteem by the Leeds supporters.

It’s such a shame Jesse hadn’t yet had the chance to get to know him, as he would love him, as we do.

Looking forward to you being back, Stix, doing what you love and providing an invaluable link to the supporters, with that personal touch that is simply irreplaceable.

We need Stix back asap!!!

This legend is the Past, Present and future of Leeds United, he has helped keep my little ones interested in Leeds since an early age (allowing them a lasting memory), these football players are the kids heros/ superstars and role models (past and present players) and they need a man like STIX (with his love and passion for the club and its fans) to bring the future supporters to our club and then keep them.

I had the pleasure of meeting the main man during a stadium tour in 2015 with my dad, daughter Mollie (Now 15) and Son Callum (Now 14) who are both still big Leeds fans today, thanks to STIX. I had a chat with STIX during the tour and informed him it was Callum's birthday and he would love to meet the players, "come see me after the tour" he said (remaining professional as always to allow everyone else their moment to ask questions/ have a piece of his experience of the club we all love). We loved the tour and STIX was a big part of making that expereince a truly excellent one, we met STIX after the tour and he said "follow me" to Callum, his face lit up. We followed him to the players tunnel and met all the players, it was amazing and the kids loved it, they still talk about it to this day- thank you STIX.

I again had the pleaseure recently to speak to STIX on the phone and it's safe to say the man is still as caring and kind hearted as ever, if not more. He asked how the family was and how old they was now, I explained we had another daughter now, Mia (7) and how I had tried numerous times to contact the club since he left to try and get some signed football cards of her heros (Bamford & Harrison) for Mia for her birthday but had no response from the club- shocking! STIX asked for our address and a day later Mia received a Leeds United signed card from last seasons squad, safe to say he is now her new hero πŸ™‚ This man is the reason our kids have and are staying loyal to our club instead of running off to support other premier league clubs who are flying high in the premier league- the club need to honour this man immediately and let him get back to doing what he does best, promote the club and link the club to it's supporters.

I have attached a photo from 2015 when we met you (I will send you a photo from Mia saying thank you for the signed card too)

Finally, I just want to say thank you for making my kids dreams come true and giving them a memory to keep forever. Cheers pal- keep your chin up and keep in touch.

When my Dad passed away in 2015 I (and my family) received a lovely letter of condolence from Leeds United together with an autograph sheet containing all the first team squad’s signatures. It was a wonderful gesture as Dad had taken me to my first ever match in the 68/69 season and to some very memorable fixtures in the European Cup, including a long drive to Paris with my brother Chris for the European Cup Final in 1975.

This much appreciated gesture from our football team didn’t happen by chance though, it happened because of one man, Peter "Stix" Lockwood.

I first met Stix several years earlier when my shop (Crash Records) did a couple of player sponsorship seasons (Lee Bowyer and Andy Lonergan) and this meant that we were able to visit Thorp Arch to watch the players training and get a shirt signed. Stix gave us a guided tour, which was entertaining and informative. We got chatting that day and ever since then, whenever I have seen him at Elland Road, in a city centre coffee shop or with his wife Anne in Lidl at Halton (!) he has always had time for a friendly chat. So when he found out about our much loved Dad passing away, he sprung into action and a few days later the condolence letter popped through the letter box.

I get the distinct impression that I’m not the only person who has been the recipient of Stix’s kindness and thoughtfulness. For me and my family it was a lovely and classy touch which was much appreciated.

Can I just also add that I have really enjoyed looking at the Gallery. Some amazing photos in there.

It’s almost, or more than 20 years now I’ve known Stix, and first time, we went with Eddie (yes, The Last Waltz Gray) to Peacock for pint. We’ve been pals since then and always had a great time at church whenever I were there. Stix is not only Legend at Leeds, but he’s proper know-it-all and can tell you all about club and players! His passion for club runs deep and I’d go so far to say he’s Mr Leeds! Be looking forward to seeing you again my dear friend! 2023! MOT!

Well what can i say about this lovely man called Stix?

Together with my wife, we travelled to Leeds from Gibraltar for our annual Pilgrimage to Elland Road and on this occassion we decided to take the stadium tour. This match day tour, was undertaken by none other than someone called Stix. Someone we did not know at the time but who would eventually become a dear friend. God Bless the day he crossed our lives!

The history and in depth understanding of the club was amazing to say the least. For well over 20 years, I have worked as a tour guide in Gibraltra, Spain, Portugal and Morocco  and let me tell you that for the club to have soemone like Stix give us a tour, with the amount of knowledge of the club and of Elland Road itself, was second to none. We can only start to imagine, the amount of changes you must have seen over the years and the amount of players, officials and people you have come across in your travels.

Nothing could hve prepared us for what was in store for us when the match ended. Never in a million years would I have thought i would be given the opportunity to meet the players so up close and personal. To be honest with you, when the match ended, we thought that you wouldn't even have remembered us since understandbly you have a busy schedule to keep. It was startling to say the least, the moment we started to ask the stewards for you and to see everyone who was so friendly and helpful. We were quickly sent towards the reception area where we waited for a few minutes whilst they went  to find out your whereabouts.

When we saw you coming through the doors accompanied by Charlie Taylor and you handed some tickets over to a lady, for us to be taken through to the Players Lounge was simply incredible. To date we still wonder how was it that you could have remembered us. Once we were shown into the lounge, both my wife and myself felt like a fish out of water, as this was a totally new experinece for us, The ER staff were so nice to us and made the whole experience seem so normal that we felt veryat ease. The opportunity we were presented with in taking pictures with the players and chatting to them, shall remain cherised forever in our minds and hearts.

Once again it was great to see that you returned to the lounge in order to greet us personally. To also have in common with you the fact that we are both drummers is unreal.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything you did for us back then on our short visit and for making my childhood dream come true. Let me also thank you for the countless times you have extended your hospitality to both ourselves and the Leeds United Supporters Club from Gibraltar. I personally believe there is absolutely nothing anyone can do to repay you for the time, kindness and generosity you have shown us time and time again. GOD BLESS YOU STIX!!!

Lastly thanks for making dreams a reality.

Kindest Regards

Stix was the host of the club tour that my son and I went on. We'd been on a tour previously and the host wasn't very knowledgable. Stix was an encyclopaedia of facts and stories of Leeds United. At the end of the tour he asked for feedback to be sent to his email address. I thanked him for his brilliant tour and explained how he'd made my sons day as the tour was on his birthday. Stix replied that he wished I'd said something on the tour because he could have done something special for him. For the next home game he arranged us to meet him in the west stand to go meet my sons hero Pablo. Such an unbelievable experience for my son. Thank you so much Stix

Hi Stix,

I would like to sincerely like to thank you for your time at the club and you are sadly and badly missed.

On a personal note, I emailed you during a time at Leeds requesting a letter from Marcelo Biesla to a work colleague of mine going through cancer recovery,  without hesitation,  I letter was sent and is framed and pride of place hanging over his mantlepiece.

He was ecstatic to receive the letter and thankfully he is doing well 😊

Once again thank you and you will always be a Leeds legend,  I apologise it took me so long to post this.

Take care  Stix

Met Stix many times at Elland Road and on his visits to Dublin, his knowledge of Leeds United goes beyond any encyclopaedia, his passion for the Club is even bigger.

Stix is as much an institution at Leeds United as the great Don himself.

The love they both have for the Club is undying and infectious.

Best wishes Stix, hope to see you back at Elland Rd soon, so you can get that museum up and running.

Dear Stix.

I can’t imagine a more dedicated man to Leeds United, than you Stix.

You are the bridge between Leeds United and every fan, there is nothing you couldn’t fix, so gentle, including warm standing tall behind the club.

Through ups and down, through every storm.

I am really happy for this page to get the opportunity, to congratulate your seventy years.

Stix, thanks a lot:

You are a true hero to me !

I first met Stix the year before Covid (2018) at Millwall Football Ground. I had been collecting for The London Taxi Drivers Association and was walking past the entrance to dressing room, when Stix heard my mate call me Yorky, he immediately called me over and asked me where I came from (Horsforth, Leeds). We had a quick chat, and he gave me his card and told me to get in touch to see a game at Elland Road. I have been to 2 games as his guest and could not have been looked after any better. His dedication to the team and the club is incredible, nothing is too much trouble for him.

Stix LUFC, is an honour that he fully deserves.

I first met Stix (the man) in early 2019 on a Leeds United Stadium Tour. From the word go (and there were 50+) of us on the tour, he was fantastic. He had time for everyone individually, as if you were on the tour on your own. No rush, plenty of time for pictures (which he offered to take for anyone who asked) he could not have been more accommodating. His love for the club and us, the supporters, genuinely shone through. His knowledge about everything, his humour and his stories going back years had us all, (including the kiddies) entranced. What a great servant of OUR CLUB. Nothing was too much trouble.

For the money, 2hrs of bliss and topped off with a 2-0 home win.

Good luck and good health in everything you do, Sir.

The main thing I remember when myself and members of East Yorkshire Branch of Leeds United Supporters Club, brought a group of Children from East Yorkshire who were on a visit from Chernobly. Families in East Yorkshire brought the children from Chernobly to live for a month. We conatced Leeds United for a ground tour and Stix took them round, I will never forget is kindness to those Children, many who would only have short life due to the Chernobly Disaster. After the tour he had arranged some food for them in one of the suite's, he was close to tears when the Children then sang to him in their own language, some other gueste in the suite were also moved to tears by the Childrens plight. It was a day I myself will never forget,  thanks to the kindness of Stix

Thank you to Stix for dropping off a Signed Pair of Meslire Gloves. It's been a while since we have seen each other me and Stix. We used to work together at Thorp Arch and he was a legend then. We had a few Moments talking about the past and he even remembers my 3 boys, Aidan and Tom up there. It brought a tear to my eye when he was leaving, the memories and the coaching and now I can't do any of it because of this disease MND.

It's taking away things but people like Stix come back into your life to give you a boost and the memories come flooding back.

Thank you Stix you are a legend.

I want to add my few words having read the wonderful testimonies about Stix. We met quite a few years ago on a stadium tour – since then Peter has been a contact for me and has made my little "special" grandson the happiest boy around. He has had signed birthday cards -certificates - personal photographs of his favourite players and much much more. We have a dedicated Leeds United β€œMan” shed with everything related to Leeds and these framed photos and cards - which mean the world - are dotted around the walls. Hopefully Stix is coming one day to see them all. He has been our contact as I stated -never was anything too much trouble for him and I even sent him a video of my grandson opening one of the cards. He has been such an asset to Leeds all these years – the players and the fans – in fact he is called β€œMr Leeds” by a lot of people. He was like the players β€œfather figure” and it was so obviously shown on the video when he won the Bobby Collins award around 6 year ago The players all spoke so highly of him – it was great to see him get the appreciation then after all the years at Leeds. When someone like Peter takes a personal interest in helping the fans -who are in my mind what makes Leeds United a great team – in the charity work- signing shirts for great causes etc - and who is a bridge between the players the club and the fans – it means so much. Can’t thank him enough. A true gentleman and friend.
