Raymond Herbert

Driffield, United Kingdom

The main thing I remember when myself and members of East Yorkshire Branch of Leeds United Supporters Club, brought a group of Children from East Yorkshire who were on a visit from Chernobly. Families in East Yorkshire brought the children from Chernobly to live for a month. We conatced Leeds United for a ground tour and Stix took them round, I will never forget is kindness to those Children, many who would only have short life due to the Chernobly Disaster. After the tour he had arranged some food for them in one of the suite’s, he was close to tears when the Children then sang to him in their own language, some other gueste in the suite were also moved to tears by the Childrens plight. It was a day I myself will never forget,  thanks to the kindness of Stix

I first met Stix the year before Covid (2018) at Millwall Football Ground. I had been collecting for The London Taxi Drivers Association and was walking past the entrance to dressing room, when Stix heard my mate call me Yorky, he immediately called me over and asked me where I came from (Horsforth, Leeds). We had a quick chat, and he gave me his card and told me to get in touch to see a game at Elland Road. I have been to 2 games as his guest and could not have been looked after any better. His dedication to the team and the club is incredible, nothing is too much trouble for him.
Stix LUFC, is an honour that he fully deserves.
