I first met Stix on a very cold (2•) Saturday morning in March 78. I had just arrived in England from a 20• North Island NZ. I have been a Leeds supporter for as long as I can remember, which has now rubbed off on all of my family (thankfully). I was booked on to the matchday tour and I couldn’t wait.
There were about 20 in group but Stix treated us all as individuals, he couldn’t do enough for us, he even took photos on request. His knowledge and love for our club was unbelievable, what a guy and what a day I had. August 81 was my second matchday tour with Stix. A completely different set of stories and memories from Mr Leeds, another fantastic tour.
Since then I have done two more matchday tours, the last one had over 50 people on it but once again every one of us were given his personal attention, it was like you were on the tour on your own. His love, knowledge and dedication to our great club is second to none.
I am over again next season and looking forward to my 5th tour with him. I did notice that he is now semi retired but I did read he is still do the matchday tours. I the hope the club are looking after this life time servant of our club. Thank you so much Stix “Mr Leeds” see you in 26.
Stu.
