When I first signed Stix was one of the first people to welcome me at Thorp Arch, and I quickly realised how important a figure he was at such an amazing club. It’s people like Stix that make football clubs work and they don’t always get the recognition they deserve.
I loved our chats and banter everyday and there was always a new joke he’d have ready for us in the morning.
Even after I left we always kept in touch and was great to see you when I got the boots back out for the charity games.
