Hi Stix, I just want to thank you very much for everything you did for me. I can’t tell you, as a manager it was just a pleasure having you around, all the little things that you know I’m puzzled about, pick the phone up, ask Stix and he’d sort it. So once again thanks for everything pal and it’s been great to know you over the years – and I hope you’re keeping well.
Speak to you soon.
Neil.

So many fine things have been said about Stix – his welcoming smile, his dedication his genuine interest in people across the Leeds United organization. All are true and I have very little else to add except this
Stix as a superpower.
His superpower is the unseen work when dealing with the visiting Leeds United fans who are having a difficult time and most specifically with some daunting medical conditions. He not only makes these people feel the center of the world and seamlessly make sure they get the introductions to the players who are their heroes who they’ve always wished to meet, but he also has amazing empathy and kindness to the families. This can’t be understated. – they are seeing their loved ones have a fantastic experience and I was always astounded by the kind and charismatic way he engaged with them all.
It’s a genius that I was always in awe of and yes, it’s a superpower.
Thanks Stix.

Hi everyone, I’m Gus Poyet and even if I was not at Leeds for a long time, when you meet someone like Stix, then you would never forget
Following our agreement with Leeds, and being ex-Chelsea, it was not easy our few weeks at Leeds, but Stix help me quickly to understand the club, the people, the city but especially the fans and the players.
Daily he was there making sure that our work was easier, and this also help me on my normal life (outside football)
Stix is the kind of person that is always available, always helping, always looking after everyone. The kind of person that any Club should have.
It was an honour and I feel so grateful to share those month at Leeds with him
Thanks Stix, Love you 💙
Gus.
During my time at Leeds United Stix was always someone who would put a smile on my face, we all needed that because despite the financial difficulties, losing premiership status and numerous changes of ownership, Stix always radiated positivity about his beloved Leeds United.
LEEDS ! LEEDS ! LEEDS !
Thanks Stix
Kevin
I had the great pleasure of working as first team Goalkeeping coach at Leeds United between 2012 and 2014.
One of the first people I came into contact with was Stix. He welcomed me to the club and said “if you need anything give me a shout”… and that’s Stix in a nutshell – not just to me but everyone within the club!
Something for charity, something for the players, coaches or supporters, any crisis on a match day or during the week, ask Stix for help and it’s as good as done.
Football clubs are not easy to navigate with so many personalities and egos. You have to get the balance right, but Stix is seamless at this! In the dressing room pre match, having a laugh with the lads, more often than not sorting players tickets or family’s needs, or escorting high profile visitors around the club. A calming influence throughout. He commands the total respect of all the staff and players.
Immaculately dressed in club suit and tie with the club crest I know he wears with pride.
Successful football clubs are built around people like Stix, a link to the past who know only too well the standards expected at Leeds United Football Club.
On a personal note he has a cracking sense of humour and a great love of music and we hit it off straight away. On a Friday night on away trips we enjoyed a quiet beer or a glass of wine and just chatted, laughed and reminisced about all the old comedians, football and life in general. It’s still the same years after leaving the club, we still keep in touch, it means a lot to me.
I’m honoured to write a piece for this website; Stix is a great Ambassador for Leeds United and everything this iconic club stands for…long may that continue.
Cheers mate!
Andy
I had the privilege of managing Leeds United and working with Stix in 2013. In what was a time of uncertainty at the club , Stix was a constant and consistent . Always available to help both players and staff alike. A man who loved the club , not with words , by actions, each and every day. A top guy , Leeds United fc through and through.

Manager of Leeds United 2013 / Now Director of Football at Hibernian
Dearest Stix.
During our 10 years of working together I was fortunate to consider you one of just a few totally trustworthy constants amongst the madness that we frequently encountered. Your relationship as a conduit between the players & supporters was truly special; something a club should never undervalue.
I was proud to have you as a colleague and even prouder to call you my friend.
They were the best of times…. most of the time!

Leeds United Football Club.
Stix is part of the very fabric of Leeds United Football Club.
He Embodied all the qualities that my dad felt were so important in building a great club -family, being genuine and of course a love of and loyalty of LUFC.
Whether looking after the players and their families to being the bridge between the club and the supporters and of course his wonderful charity work.
Stix is an invaluable part of Leeds United and a great ambassador for the club.
When i visited Leeds for The Freedom of the City event honouring the great teams of the 60″s and 70″s, Stix arranged everything for our visit and made sure we were looked after.
He is a kind caring man who lives and breathes LUFC and has a rare ability of making everyone feel cared for and that they matter,
I know Dad would be wishing all the best to you Stix and thank you for everything you have done over the years for so many people and of course for the club.
All the best to you and your family.
Kim Revie.
Stix was a very good friend of my fathers.
For many many, years they travelled the country together to both away matches and charity events.
When my dad became an ambassador for the club, we were in the premiership unfortunately that did not last long and for too many years to remember, we fell on hard times, but dad and Stix stayed loyal and served the club they both loved.
As time passed Marcelo Bielsa brought a new hope and gained promotion back to the big-time dad didn’t really get to see that sadly, I wish he had.
I am sure they both would still be up and down the M1 together.
Stix got me this amazing shirt, as you can see fully signed by the team of 2021, only one man could do that.
Cheers my friend, Stix.

I will always remember the first time I came across Stix. I was still serving in West Yorkshire Police and due to my other career on the Premier League the Force were doing a charity calendar for Help For Heroes. Leeds United kindly allowed the use of Elland Road for the photo shoot.
Stix was brilliant for the charity, he made everyone feel welcome at the stadium and nothing was too much trouble.
Stix- thank you for your help and support over the years, always there on a matchday when I’ve attended games with the same passion and enthusiasm.
I know from speaking to my colleagues how helpful you have been and that’s something we will always be grateful for as a group.
Best wishes

There are not many backroom staff who work within a football club that you can call a true legend.
I have first-hand experience of dealing with such a person, Stix.
over the years we have connected on many occasions usually him wanting something for one of the players or their families. Or his involvement in my charity Cash For Kids, of which I am a patron.
Despite the fact Stix has asked me for assistance on many occasions this was never for himself it was for player’s families and staff from the club. His acts of kindness shows just how selfless he is, always helping others.
I used to wonder if there were more clones of Stix because whenever I was involved doing something with Leeds United such as creating the infamous Calendar, bringing Vern Troyer to watch his first Mighty Whites game, introducing Russell Crowe to owners of the club. I would always see him somewhere in the background doing something for the club. I don’t know where he found the time or energy, he always seems composed and in control even when dealing with high pressured situations. I have my own stories of this for another time. Lol.
When you hear the phrase, somebody sleeps and breaths their job that’s Stix. Leeds United is his life. He’s always been the go-to guy for LUFC, ever since I have known him over 22 years.
As a successful Leeds business owner, myself of, Fibre, Mission, Viaduct Showbar, The Bells, Briggate Hotel etc. We always strive to have our own version of Stix. He is an Asset for Leeds United.
I’ve never called on him for any favours but the offers of help from Stix were always there and the reassurance of knowing if I needed anything from a signed shirt for my charity to waking up the chairman Stix would’ve helped.
To me, Stix is a true ambassador for our beloved football club, Leeds United. he has seen many administrations come and go, his loyalties have always been with the club, players and supporters. Long may Stix and LUFC keep marching on together.
Keep smiling
Terry George
Even though I’m currently working at the national shrine of Our Lady in Walsingham, Norfolk, and nearer Carrow Road than Elland Road, I still keenly follow Leeds United’s results! Whilst we’re all glad that Leeds is back in the division where it belongs, it wasn’t always so! About 6 years ago, when I was dean of Leeds Cathedral, I remember
Stix contacting me on behalf of the then owner, Massimo Cellino, asking me to bless the pitch. I met Stix on the ‘sacred turf’ one quiet day, and blessed the pitch, and also prayed for the players and staff.
They took a photo of the occasion ‘just for their records’.
The next I knew it was on Sky Sports! I did this two years running, and on the second occasion blessed the training ground and facilities at Thorp Arch, too. Now although Leeds didn’t reach the dizzy heights of the Premiership straight away, I like to think that their eventual rise was helped along. In any case, the matches I attended soon after each blessing resulted in wins for Leeds!
Stix, you’ve done a great job at Elland Road, you’ve been a friend to many, and you can justly be proud of the promotion that rightly came Leeds’ way. Many happy returns! I hope you have a great celebration.
Sincerely

The Leeds United Crest “Comes Home”
I have attended Leeds United Football games for more than 70 years and with my wife Denise, we have travelled from San Francisco for more than 50 years to watch both home and away games and are two of the most travelled, Leeds United supporters..
For more than 35 years we have known and have become friends with Stix Lockwood as undoubtedly, he alone is the glue that works behind the scenes with Boards, Players and the life of the Club, the Fans.
More than 20 years ago Stix alone was responsible in ensuring that the 1919 Leeds United Crest and the blue inscription affixed on The John Charles Stand came to fruition.
The Inscription States.
“The 1919 Leeds United Emblem was obtained by the Harland Family through a Donation to The MacMillan Cancer Trust”.
The unveiling of the Emblem took place on September 12, 2002, a special day for all Leeds Fans in that the White Rose of Yorkshire defeated the Red Rose of Lancashire courtesy of a goal scored by Harry Kewell against Manchester United.
Stix is The Wikipedia of Leeds United Football Club and I sincerely doubt that any other person will ever match his accomplishments.
We look forward to seeing Stix for many more years when we visit Elland Road.
Cheers, Mike and Denise

What can I say?
One morning I opened a handwritten envelope with utter shock and amazement.
A letter of thanks for ‘Loyalty & Dedication. to Leeds United Football Club… & signed by MARCELO BIELSA !
Immediately I suspected it was a complete fake set-up by friends.
It was not until I saw Stix’ personal card and note to email him confirmation of safe receipt that I figured it was actually genuine.
At that point and with all that Covid had thrown at us, I was completely and emotionally stopped in my tracks for about half an hour.
But who? Why? What for? Why me?
Apparently, it was some overheard off-the-cuff comment I made on TV about Elland Road that pricked Stix’ ears and then the main man checked out my LUFC credentials.
You would not believe how incredibly proud and chuffed I am to have received that letter.
Thank you, it meant so, so much.

All Together. (2022 UK Tour)
Mr Leeds United.
Wandering around the ground pre match you could always rely on Stix being there with a friendly welcome and great stories about Leeds United past and present.
One of the certainties through ups and downs, good times or bad, Stix will always be around, willing and able to help with problems big and small.
Thanks for all the help over the years.

The Punjabi Whites
“Firstly, there are no words that I know of that can do justice to the wonderful man that is Peter “Stix” Lockwood …… but I’ll try
I’ve been lucky enough to know Stix for a good few years now – I remember when I first met him pitch side at Elland Road and instantly took a liking to his wonderful warm character. Knowing how much Leeds United meant to me and my family he arranged it for us to meet some of the team and Bielsa- he really does make people’s dreams come true. I had the pleasure of visiting him at his home recently and it was lovely to meet his family. He is a true family man, and it shows in his work and in his personal life.
The Punjabi Whites would not exist without Stix – it was Stix who pushed me into the limelight and allowed me and my family to do things I never thought possible, it not only benefitted me but also a whole community.
I’m forever grateful for Stix and absolutely honoured to call him and his family our friends.
Saying, thank you seems for easy for everything you’ve done and continue to do
Love you now and always

‘Stix was hugely helpful when I was writing the biography of Don Revie. Nothing was ever too much trouble, even when I was asking questions, he has probably had answered a thousands of times before!
‘He is a mine of information and the memory of the interview he arranged for me with the late, great Norman Hunter will stay with me for a long time.
‘Stix is one of the kindest most genuine men I have met in football! To me, he is a Leeds United legend who has been pivotal in making the club what it is today.’
Best wishes
